ISSUE OVERVIEW
“Carpe Diem” is an editorial concept for Issue #6, “Senses,” based on “Seizing the day” by restoring a connection with yourself after balancing life's most challenging obstacles. This concept resonates with me because losing my mom at the beginning of my senior year of college turned my life upside down. I had never dealt with a loss like this before; she was my number one supporter since day one. Navigating college life and adulthood without her presence left me feeling lost, alone, and unsure if I could reach my milestones. But with therapy and the love and support of my family and friends, I learned how to seize the day through life's challenges and keep going—because my mom didn’t raise a quitter.
